 St Philip's Centre
St Philip’s is a Christian Centre offering training in interfaith understanding and engagement.
It is an ecumenical centre – trustees represent the Methodist, United Reformed, Roman Catholic, Baptist and Anglican churches.
The Centre has two main aims
-
to build up the confidence of Christians to live and work in our multi faith society
-
to work in the area of religious literacy with secular organisations such as the Police and Local Authorities, and with community groups.
They have developed a core module Presence and Engagement in a Multi Faith Society which runs over three days.
This module will introduce you to the long history of engagement, not just with Muslims, so central to our thinking today, but also to Hindus, Sikhs and others, for which Leicester has become famous.
Further information about the courses on offer can be found at www.stphilipscentre.co.uk |
