Christian - Jewish Relations
We have much in common with our Jewish brothers and sisters. Here are resources and opportunities to deepen understanding of Judaism and of Christian Jewish Relations. Specialist organisations can be found under the Organisations page.
Concerns about 'Jews for Jesus'
The Council of Christians and Jews produced a leaflet in July/August 2003 on the concerns about 'Jews for Jesus' which we have reproduced with permission from the CCJ. Click here to download the text.
Exploring Judaism
Christians wishing to encounter Judaism and experience the great mutual enrichment this dialogue brings may obtain contact details of speakers up and down the country from the Council of Christians and Jews.
Freedom of religion, respect for the integrity of religions and and for their adherents are key to healthy inter faith relations. Pressure to convert flies in the face of those freedoms and is a denial both of authentic witness and genuine interreligious dialogue. CCJ's website carries valuable resources on these subjects.
Sion Centre for Dialogue and Encounter Programmes
The Centre has now finalised the programmes for 2009-2010. For further information and booking forms, please see 'courses'
Web Resources

Joint Declaration between the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Chief Rabbis of Israel On the 5th September 2006 an agreement, described by Dr Rowan Williams as "historic", was signed at Lambeth Palace. It was a most significant step in developing mutual understanding and trust between the Anglican Communion and the Chief Rabbinate and worldwide Judaism. Background information and the text of the declaration are available through this link.
The All Party Parliamentary Report into Anti Semitism was published in September and is available on http://thepcaa.org/Report.pdf. A four-page summary of the report, made available to CTE, is also available.
