Religions in the UK: Directory 2007-10

Religions in the UK has become the standard work of reference on the United Kingdom's faith communities, their organisations and places of worship.

It is the product of a joint project between The Multi-Faith Centre at the University of Derby and the University of Derby's Faculty of Eduction, Health and Sciences, and builds upon previous collaboration with the Inter Faith Network for the UK in its 1993, 1997 and 2001 editions.

The directory is a "one stop shop" to help organisations find accessible reference material and information about the nine world religious traditions with substantial communites in the UK.

The 2001 edition won the SHAP Working Party on World Religions in Education annual award for making "an outstanding contribution to the teaching of world religions".

The directory is of particular value to religious organisations, those working in public and private sector bodies, librarians, teachers, academics, the media and professionals in a wide variety of other fields.

The directory is edited by Paul Weller, Professor of Inter-Religious Relations at the University of Derby (Faculty of Education, Health and Sciences), and Visiting Fellow of the Centre for Christianity and Culture, at Regent's Park College, University of Oxford.
