CTE FORUM 2012
23rd October - 25th October at The Hayes, Swanwick.
‘What does love require of us?’
CTE’s triennial Forum is the most representative ecumenical gathering in England. It brings together people from the member churches, from the regions (through Intermediate Bodies) and from Bodies in Association. It is an occasion for worship, for celebration, for thought, and for taking stock of the ecumenical journey and advising those who have the responsibility to guide CTE’s work on new directions that might be taken.
The Moderator of the 2012 Forum is Janet Scott of the Society of Friends, the Vice Moderator Bishop Doye Agama of the Apostolic Pastoral Association.
The theme What does love require of us? will be based on 1 Corinthians 12-13 and our thinking about those chapters will be led by Professor Judith Lieu, Lady Margaret’s Professor of Divinity at Cambridge University, and a Methodist. A draft programme is available here.
The 2012 Forum will be held at the Hayes Conference Centre, Swanwick, Derbyshire. It will begin with registration at 2.30pm on Tuesday 23rd October and end with lunch on Thursday 25th October.
The music for this Forum has been planned by a team led by Sister Diane Reynolds.

Attendance at the Forum is by invitation from CTE to its member churches and organisations. It is intended to ensure the widest possible range of participants, covering the richness of ecumenical life in this country. Contact us if you would like to know more.
