Dear Rachel and Helen

Thank you for the prayer for Cumbria which we have placed on the front page of CTE's web-site. The remarkable work of the churches of Cumbria in responding to the terrible flooding of past days has even reached the TV news channels down south. We want to assure you all of the prayers and love of friends across the Churches Together networks, as well as within the individual denominations of our membership and beyond.

Please let us know if there is anything that we can do to help you in practical ways by sharing information or circulating appeals etc etc. I’m sure you’ll both know what I mean when I say that we don’t want to intrude into work that you are doing, or that the denominations are organising, but we can be of service, please ask.

May God be close to you both and to your colleagues in church leadership, and to the folk of Cumbria as they begin the long haul of putting lives and homes and businesses back together again.
